Welcome!

We are Jon and Dana Pellant, along with our children: Derek, JR, Kyra, Devin, and Kolbe. We live in beautiful Englewood, Florida, on the Gulf Coast.

I am a senior technology and engineering leader currently working at Gatorbot.com, with decades of experience building products, teams, and organizations that deliver real-world results. I am equally comfortable leading executive discussions, mentoring teams, and rolling up my sleeves with a soldering iron. My view of “full-stack” spans hardware, firmware, cloud infrastructure, and modern application platforms.

As an electrical engineer by training and a technologist by practice, I design and build custom IoT and communications systems, embed them in RTOS or Linux environments, and integrate them into secure, scalable private and public cloud platforms. Just as importantly, I have led large, cross-functional teams—engineering, product, security, operations, and support—establishing processes, governance, and delivery models that scale from early-stage innovation to enterprise deployment.

My leadership experience includes building organizations from the ground up, managing complex portfolios, guiding products to market, and aligning technology strategy with business objectives. I specialize in turning complexity into operational advantage—automating systems, workflows, and decision-making so organizations can focus on delivering value to their customers.

I am also deeply involved in Amateur Radio and emergency communications, with extensive service in ARES and AUXCOMM supporting Charlotte, Lee, and Sarasota County emergency management. I have participated in communications and coordination efforts across more than a dozen named storms and hurricanes, working alongside local, county, and state agencies to maintain situational awareness when conventional systems were degraded or unavailable. This work reflects my long-standing commitment to resilient systems, operational readiness, and service under real-world conditions. You can learn more about Amateur Radio through Englewood Amateur Radio Society, and explore my technical projects and experiments at W1JP.com.

Dana is a nurse at the Boca Grande Health Clinic and shares my love of life on the water. You’ll often find us exploring the local waterways, and we also sell GoBoats to help others experience the same joy we’ve found. You can learn more at Gator.Boats.
